1. VENUE The XI Laser Central - Southamerican Championship will be held from April 7th to 15th , 2001 at Punta del Este, Uruguay. 2. ORGANIZING AUTHORITY The Championship will be organized by the Punta del Este Yacht Club in conjuction with the Uruguayan Laser Association 3- RULES The Championship will be sailed under the following rules: The 1997/2000 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) The current Class Rules of the International Laser Class (ILCA) The National Authotritie prescriptions The Final Notice of Race The Sailing Instructions (SI), that may change the rules above. 4- ENTRIES Entries will be recieved at the Punta del Este Yacht Club (phone #: 598 42 4 4031, Fax #: 598 42 45858, E-mail ycpe@adinet.com.uy) from 09:00 to 17:00 hours until 10:00 hours of Sunday 8th. for 4.7 and Radial Classes, and until 20:00 hours of Wednesday 11th. for Standard Class. If it is possible, please complete and send the pre-entrie form before february 20th. 2001. The entrie fee will be U$S 50. 5- FORMAT OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP 5.1 Seven races will be race on each Championship and each one of them will be valid with 4 races. 5.2 The Low Point scoring sistem will be used. Closing Ceremony The start time might be changed by the Race Committee.   7- ELEGIBILITY Competitors shall comply with the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) eligibility requirements in accordance with RRS K1. 8- EVENT CATEGORY: The event is designated RRS G3 category "B" 9- CHARTER BOATS Charter boats will be manufactured and supplied by PRIMEX S.A. Sailors applying for charter boats, should do so addressing directly to the manufacturer. LIABILITY 11.1 Participants compete entirely at their own risk and responsability. 11.2 The Organizing Authority and any other party involved in the organization of the Championships accept no liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss or claim, wether personal or material, incurred by or inflicted to participants before, during or after the Championship. 12-ACCOMMODATIONS 12.1 Sailors and officials will be lodged free of charge in Campus de Maldonado in general rooms. The accommodation is located 6 kms from the Championship centre. 12.2 Those ones who prefer to stay at the Punta del Este Yacht Club accommodations (building) will be charged with U$S 10 per day. Resrervations should be made before february 20th , 2001.
